Ordinance to amend and re-enact Chapter 7 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia entitled R-9 DistrictOne Family Residence District by amending section 7-1 - Uses permitted.

 

Whereas, the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice so require;

 

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Hampton, Virginia that chapter 7 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia, be amended and re-enacted as follows:

 

CHAPTER 7 - R-9 DISTRICTONE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT

 

Sec. 7-1. - Uses permitted; R-9 District.

 

Uses shall be permitted as set forth in Chapter 2 - Uses Permitted.

 

Sec. 7-2. - Height regulations; R-9 District.

 

No building in an R-9 District shall exceed thirty-five (35) feet in height; provided that the height limit for any building may be increased to not more than forty-five (45) feet when side yards of not less than twenty-five (25) feet each are provided.

 

Adopted at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hampton, Virginia held on January 8, 2014.
