Resolution Approving the Location and Major Design Features of the Hampton Club Drive/Hardy Cash Drive Traffic Signal Installation

 

WHEREAS, a Notice of Willingness to hold a Public Meeting was advertised on June 18, 2007 and June 25, 2007 in the Daily Press for the purposes of considering the proposed location and design of the proposed traffic signal installation at the intersection of Hampton Club and Hardy Cash Drive; and

 

WHEREAS, the project scope includes the installation of a mast arm traffic signal and pedestrian facilities; and

 

WHEREAS, no comments, inquiries, or requests were received by the public; and

 

WHEREAS, Council had previously requested the Virginia Department of Transportation to program this project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Virginia Department requires City Council grant authority to the City Manager to execute agreements; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered all such matters.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council in the City of Hampton hereby approves the location and major design features of the proposed project.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manger is authorized to execute the City/State agreement for this project.
