VDOT Revenue Sharing Projects - Project Administration Agreements

 

RESOLUTION

Whereas, the City of Hampton had requested that the Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT) approve funding for Revenue Sharing Projects in the city of Hampton, on a 50/50 cost sharing basis; and

 

Whereas, VDOT did approve revenue sharing funding for the following five projects (with the City to provide an equivalent amount for each project):

 

Franklin Street Extension $204, 853

Traffic Signal on Hardy Cash Drive $ 67,043

Speed Tables" on Chesapeake Avenue $ 37,246

Traffic Signal Timing Software $ 44,695

N. Campus Parkway Extension $ 391,083

Whereas, VDOT has now provided the City with Project Administration Agreements which formalize the cost sharing arrangement and which allow the City to administer the projects; and

 

Whereas, VDOT requires that City Council grant authority for the City Manager to execute these agreements.

 

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute Project Administration Agreements with the Virginia Department of Transportation for City administration of the FY06 Revenue Sharing Projects.
