AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REENACT CHAPTER 12, SECTION 12-2

OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF HAMPTON, VIRGINIA, ENTITLED

CENTRAL ABSENTEE VOTER PRECINCT.

 

Chapter 12

 

CENTRAL ABSENTEE VOTER PRECINCT

 

Section 12-2. Central Absentee Voter Precinct.

 

Pursuant to authority vested in the city council by Section 24.2-712 of the Code of Virginia, there is hereby established a central absentee voter precinct for the city, for the purpose of receiving, counting and recording absentee ballots in all elections, both general and special. The polling place shall be located in the Hampton Roads Convention Center, located at 1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, Virginia, 23666.

This Ordinance shall be effective for elections occurring on or after November 7, 2007.

 

Adopted at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hampton, Virginia held on August 15, 2007.
