Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to Chapter 18, Section 18-5 (Land Not Zoned) to include federal- and state-owned land in the reference to land within the city that is currently not zoned.

 

An Ordinance to Amend and Re-Enact Chapter 18, Section 18-5 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Hampton, Virginia, Pertaining to the Definition of Land Not Zoned.

 

Sec. 18-5 Land Not Zoned

 

Any area, other than that dedicated for public streets or alleys, within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City whether or not shown on the Zoning District Map or Zoning District Sectional Maps as being classified in any district, for all intents and purposes of this Ordinance, shall be classified as R-13 One Family Residence District. This classification shall include all sub-marginal land, water areas, and federally owned and state owned land.

Adopted at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hampton, Virginia held on June 15, 2006.
