FY06 State Homeland Security Buffer Zone Protection Program Grant

 

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF HAMPTON, VIRGINIAS PARTICIPATION AND APPROPRIATION OF THE STATE HOMELAND SECURITY BUFFER ZONE PROTECTION PROGRAM.

 

WHEREAS, the City of Hampton has been awarded by the Department of Homeland Security, Buffer Zone Protection Program Grant in the amount of $117,800.00 which includes federal funds with no required match from the Hampton Police Divisions Budget, to be expended by March 31, 2006.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hampton accepts and appropriates the State Homeland Security Buffer Zone Protection Program grant in the amount of $117,800.00 award made by the Department of Homeland Security in accordance with the grant agreement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee to take the necessary steps to implement this grant award.

 

Adopted at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hampton, Virginia held on February 22, 2006.
