A Resolution Approving the City of Hampton, Virginia's Participation and Appropriation of the Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program (LETPP) Phase III Funded by the Department of Homeland Security Through the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.

 

WHEREAS, the City of Hampton has been awarded The Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program Phase II in the amount of $4,800 in Federal funds with no required match from the Hampton Police Division.; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant award covers the period 03/01/2008 through 05/31/2008;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hampton accepts and appropriates The Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program in the amount of $4,800 awarded/ made by the Department of Homeland Security in accordance with the grant agreement;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee to take the necessary steps to implement this grant award.

Adopted at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Hampton, Virginia held on April 30, 2008.
