  Mayor Kearney asked the City Manager to recap the meetings with the various rating agencies which occurred last week.

Councilman Sapp provided information concerning a meeting held on December 13, 2005, with the Editorial Board of the Daily Press.

ACTION: Removed - Following the discussion under agenda item #7, it was decided that discussing potential appointees during closed session would be premature.

ACTION: Moved to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement for private management of the Hampton Roads Convention Center, and that we further authorize him to negotiate with and award that contract to the one vendor identified to us as clearly more highly qualified than the others under consideration.
