8.06-0214Discussion of Council's Summer Meeting Schedule
Council discussed their potential meeting schedule for the summer months. A vote on the schedule will take place at a later date.
New Business
  Mayor Kearney made a brief statement about some of the needs of local fire stations and asked the City Manager to look into the matter.

Councilman Gilliland spoke briefly about a memo from the IDA concerning incubators. The City Manager indicated that the purpose of the memo was to reaffirm the position of the IDA.

Councilwoman Leary questioned some expenditures made in connection with Bionetics.

Councilman Tignor expressed his displeasure with the way appointments are made to boards and commissions and wants to look at more balance in terms of gender and ethnicity.
