Call to Order
Mayor Wallace called the meeting to order at 9:08 a.m. All members of City Council were present.
The following staff members were present: Mary Bunting, Vanessa Valldejuli, Katherine Glass, Terry P. O'Neill, Don Whipple, Tolu Ibikunle, Robin McCormick, Bonnie Brown, Brian Deprofio, Pete Peterson, Keith Cannady, Bruce Sturk, Susan Borland, Steve Bond, Matthew Finley, John Yorks, Mike Hodges, Matthew Smith, Joel Almquist, Alison Alexander, Leonard Sledge, and Shellae Blackwell.
Also in attendance were Daily Press reporter Robert Brauchle and Hugh Bassett.
Staff briefing on the Coliseum Central Master Plan (2004), Downtown Master Plan (2004), and North King Street Master Plan (2007).

Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A.1, .3 and .7 to discuss personnel matters and the appointments as listed on the agenda, to discuss or consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held real property in the Downtown, Brights Creek, and Coliseum Central areas, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the city council, and for consultation with legal counsel regarding specific legal matters pertaining to land use, city code matters, and misdemeanor prosecutions requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
