Call to Order
1.07-0016Presentation on Remodeling and Upgrades to the Hampton YMCA.
ACTION: Presented by Danny Carroll, Executive Director of the YMCA. Mr. Carroll was accompanied by Bruce Hoogstraten; Frank Edgar, Jr.; Rob Shuford, Jr.; J. D. Hay; and Kim Moser.

ACTION: Presented by Art Thatcher, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation.

ACTION: Presented by Mary Bunting, Assistant City Manager.
New Business
  Vice Mayor Gilliland recently asked staff to provide information on kiosks for Council's information. These type of structures have recently come up in conversations concerning Buckroe and Carousel Park. Planning Director Terry P. O'Neill shared some photographs with Council.

A demonstration of Google Earth was also presented by Assistant City Manager John Eagle. The presentation depicted the general area surrounding Carousel Park.

Councilwoman Leary reminded citizens that the Hunt for Hampton History takes place this Saturday at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The event is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

07-0052to discuss or consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose or the disposition of publicly held property in the Coliseum Central and Buckroe areas where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the City.
