  When the roll was called at 2:05 p.m. all members of City Council were present.

ACTION: Presented by Terry Sult, Chief of Police. As a part of his presentation, Chief Sult showed two recent videos produced by the Hampton Police Division, one of which is receiving international attention.
2.14-0308Briefing regarding Ordinance To Amend And Reenact Chapter 16.1 Of The Code Of The City Of Hampton Entitled "Hotels And Similiar Establishments" To Clarify Definitions And Expand Exceptions To Sec. 16.1-13.

  Vanessa Valldejuli, the City Attorney, introduced the members of the City's legal services team and also welcomed some Hampton University pre-law students who are visiting and shadowing the City's attorneys.

ACTION: Adopted - The closed session was recessed at 4:55 p.m. so that Council could convene the 5 p.m. special session. Following the 6 p.m. public comment period, the closed session was reconvened but time did not permit a conclusion of the discussion of the Council appointments (14-0246). Councilwoman Schmidt and Councilwoman Snead were out at the time of the certification vote.
