Call to Order / Roll Call
  Mayor Ward called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The invocation was given by Vice Mayor Wallace.

Mayor Ward shared that Councilman Kearney is not present as he is recuperating from surgery and extended the Council's well wishes for his recovery. She also indicated that Vice Mayor Wallace will be leaving the meeting a bit early this evening. He will be attending the Hampton School Board meeting tonight and presenting a proclamation to the Hampton High School Men's Basketball Team to congratulate them for winning the Virginia High School Basketball Championship.

Public Comment
  A brief recess was held from 5:52 p.m. until 6 p.m.

When the meeting reconvened, Jamie Osso spoke on the Hampton City Schools budget and the need to reinstate cafeteria monitors.

Angelaine Harmonie Mason, Rick Bagley, and Shena Bynum requested continued funding for Alternatives.

Edwin M. Boone encouraged people to vote so there would be new members of City Council and also invited citizens to participate in the Purchasing and Procurement Oversight Committee.
  The meeting was adjourned at 6:17 p.m.
