ACTION: Presented by Mary Bunting, Assistant City Manager.
2.06-0267Summer meeting schedule for City Council.
ACTION: Council discussed a proposed meeting schedule for the summer months. The matter is scheduled for a vote during the evening session.
3.06-0288An Ordinance to Amend and Re-Enact Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Hampton, Virginia, Entitled “ADMINISTRATION”, by Adding Thereto a Section 2-12 Entitled "CONTRACT EXECUTION BY CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE".
ACTION: Presented by Lesa Yeatts, Deputy City Attorney. This matter is scheduled for a vote during the evening session.

ACTION: Presented by David Knisely, the Federal Area Development Authority’s special counsel for Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) legal matters.

06-0285Closed session as provided in Section 2.2-3711.A.1 and .3 to:
ACTION: Approved - Personnel matters were added with respect to the Economic Development Department, the Hampton History Museum, and the City Manager's Office. Additionally, a matter was added under subsection A.7 to consult with legal counsel pertaining to actual litigation where such consultation or briefing in an open meeting would adversely affect the litigating posture of the public body. Council indicated a desire to tape the closed session with the exception of the personnel matters.
