MAYOR'S COMMENTS
  The Mayor explained that a flag was flown today at Ft. Wool as a test and photographs were shown. This flag was totally funded by donations and at no taxpayer expense.

Councilwoman Leary outlined the events which will take place this weekend in connection with the Jamestown 400th anniversary celebration. Many historic vessels will be docked in Hampton over the weekend and the Langley Air Force Base air show will also take place. On Friday night, there is a faith celebration at Mill Point Park. On Saturday, the International Children's Festival takes place. On Sunday, Hampton's annual First Landing ceremony takes place.

Miscellaneous New Business
  Vice Mayor Gilliland shared information with respect to the effects of the potential Hampton Roads Transportation Authority upon the City's financial rating and encouraged localities to seek the advice of their financial and legal advisors. He stated that the transportation authority is just bad public policy.
