Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 1:03 p.m. All members of City Council were present.
Briefing on the proposed Arts and Cultural District.
Presented by Alison Alexander, City Planner.
Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A.1, .3, and .7 to discuss appointment(s) as listed on the agenda including appointments to the 1619 Commission, to discuss a personnel matter involving the Department of Public Works, to discuss the consideration of the acquisition of real property for a public purpose in the Pasture Point area of Hampton, and of the disposition of publicly held real property in the Phoebus area, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the city council, and to consult with legal counsel pertaining to actual or probable litigation, where such consultation or briefing in open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating posture of the city council, and to consult with legal counsel regarding specific legal matters pertaining to property maintenance code and city festivals requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
