ACTION: Presented by Terry P. O'Neill, Director of Planning, and James Freas, Senior City Planner. Other individuals presenting information were: Kevin Gallagher, Public Works Management Analyst; Christiana Betts, Clean City Commission; Debbie Blanton, Hampton Clean City Commission Coordinator; and Darren Robinson, Neighborhood Development Associate.
3.08-0057Briefing on Request for Refund of Erroneous Tax Assessment by City of Newport News
ACTION: Presented by Richie McKeithen, Assessor, and Joyce Melvin-Jones, Deputy City Attorney. This item is on the evening agenda but staff will request a deferral pending receipt of a form which must be completed.
4.08-0059Discussion of Mill Point Street Lights.
ACTION: Presented by Jesse T. Wallace, Jr., City Manager. The Mayor asked for a full briefing on this matter at the first March meeting.

New Business
  Councilwoman Leary shared that she is working with some students from Syms Middle School on Project Citizen involving homelessness. She visited the school and the students have provided several questions that she will pass along to the City Manager to get the staff's assistance in answering.

Councilwoman Leary also asked that the City Manager identify pump stations, fire stations, etc. in the inventory of City-owned property. She wants to include properties owned by the IDA and HRHA.
