Call to Order / Roll Call
  Councilwomen Curtis and Snead were not present at the meeting due to prior commitments.
Public Comment
  Terrence Moore, Darryl J. Wynder, Levita Jones and Eddie Deerfield spoke in criticism of the recent process to select the Mayor.

Robert P. Fairchild spoke in favor of Use Permit 3361.

David Dietrich and Brian Edmonds spoke on rental inspections and constitutional rights.

William E. Webster spoke about his drainage problem.

Joy Barot, Sanket Acharya, Harshad Barot and Kayla Hicks spoke in criticism of the recent hotel ordinance.

Edwin M. Boone requested help from the Hampton University students who recently spoke on the houseboat issue.

At the request of Mayor Wallace, following the public comment period, the City Attorney, Cynthia Hudson, relayed the process, outlined in the City Charter, which was used in the recent Mayor appointment process. At the request of other members of Council, she also shared information from the Freedom of Information Act regarding open meetings and discussions between Council members concerning City business.
