REPORTS BY CITY MANAGER, CITY COUNCIL, STAFF, COMMITTEES
Audiences Granted to the General Public
  Hugh Bassette spoke on the number of minority businesses used in the construction of the new schools. Eddie Deerfield spoke on the number of rental and owner-occupied homes in Buckroe. Frank J. Ottofaro spoke on the Buckroe Beach B Lots. Theodore S. Reiff requested a response to his recent letter. Bobby Hibbitz spoke on the minority business program.
Miscellaneous New Business
  Councilwoman Leary explained the purposes of the Audiences Granted to the General Public and offered to assist Dr. Reiff after the meeting.

Councilman Wallace offered to assist those citizens with questions on the minority business program.

Councilman Gilliland explained that the entire City Manager's Recommended Budget is available on the City's website under the Budget Department and a copy is also available in each of the City's branch libraries.

Mayor Ward introduced Jim Oliver who will become the Interim City Manager on May 1, 2009. She also wished Councilwoman Leary's husband, Tom, well during his upcoming surgery.
