Call to Order
The Mayor relayed that Councilman Spencer is out of town and Councilman Sapp will be arriving to the meeting a bit late.
Update on the Crime & Grime Initiative for the period of October 1, 2006 - March 30, 2007
Presented by Mary Bunting, Assistant City Manager, and Chuck R. Jordan, Chief of Police.
Presentation on Procedures to Amend the Buckroe Master Plan.
Presented by Keith Cannady, Chief Planner.
Council Discussion of Policies Regarding Proclamations and Meetings
Council discussed trying new ways to handle ceremonial items.
Councilwoman Leary has questions on several items on the Consent Agenda that she'll attempt to resolve before the evening session.
Councilwoman Leary also intends to pursue ways to save paper and will bring a suggestion forward in the future.
Councilman Tignor wanted Council to think about whether a referendum on the transportation authority will be meaningful if it isn't held until November and believes the City Council should consider voting on the issue sooner rather than later. Council will schedule a presentation of information, time for public comment and a vote at a special meeting in June.

to consult with legal counsel retained/employed by the City regarding specific legal matters relating to enviromental regulation and requiring the advice of legal counsel.
to discuss personnel related to Council-appointed Committees.
to consider an appointment to the Virginia Peninsula Disability Services Board.
to consider appointments to the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board.
to consider appointments to the Board of Directors of the Virginia Air & Space Center.
to consider seven (7) citizen appointments to the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
