ACTION: Presented by Susan Borland, Senior Business Development Manager, who was accompanied by Wirt Confroy, Director of Partnerships and Outreach for the Virginia Tourism Corporation, and Shawn Crumlish, Director of Debt Management for the Virginia Resources Authority. Director of Economic Development, Leonard Sledge, also provided information.

14-0426Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A.1 and .3 to discuss a personnel matter involving Animal Control, Council appointments, a recommendation of appointment to the Board of Zoning Appeals, appointments to the Neighborhood Commission, an appointment to the Community Policy and Management Team, and to consider the acquisition of real property interests for a public purpose in the Wythe neighborhood of the city, and the disposition of publicly held real property in the Coliseum Central, Downtown Hampton, Phoebus and Buckroe areas of the City where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the city’s bargaining position or negotiating strategy.
