Call to Order
  The meeting convened at 1:03 p.m.
1.11-0122Budget Worksession
ACTION: Presented by City Manager, Mary Bunting, and Gloria Washington, Budget Director. The members of Council presented various questions on the proposed budget.

A short recess was taken from 2:52 p.m. until 3:02 p.m.
ACTION: Moved to hold a public hearing on May 11, 2011, to consider a one cent increase on the real estate tax rate to be dedicated to public safety and emergency medical services.

Councilman Kearney withdrew the motion with the intention that a substitute motion will be made during the evening session.

SECONDER: Councilmember Angela Lee Leary.

ACTION: Presented by Mary Bunting, City Manager.

  There were no reports.
New Business
  Councilwoman Leary relayed that an envelope was left at her place marked 'personal' that involved the City Attorney's office. She indicated that she was passing it to the Clerk for copies to be distributed to the members of Council, the City Manager, and the City Attorney.
