  Jesse Wilkins, Doug Fasseel, Susan Edgette, Paul Morrison, Joe Elliott, Jardslaw Sobieski, Lawrence E. Dunn, William McLaughlin, Lance Wallen, Dennis Van Camp, and Clyde Williams spoke in support of the dredging of the Hampton River and ancillary channels.

Robert W. Nuckles spoke on the possibility of the movement of an aircraft carrier from Norfolk to Florida.

Edwin M. Boone spoke on his attendance of the Purchasing and Procurement Oversight Committee and the use of vendors from outside of Hampton. He also spoke on tax pressure on him and the upcoming election for three Council seats.

William McLaughlin acknowledged the City Executive Management Team on their offer of a 2% pay cut and indicated it was in essence their offer to work a little over a week for free. He asked that consideration be given to the salary reduction not effecting their ultimate retirement pay calculation.

Joan Charles spoke on government transparency and the frequency, location and taping of Council meetings.

Frank J. Ottofaro spoke on the taking of his property on Pine Chapel Road.

Hugh Bassette spoke on Blue Bird Gap Farm and not relocating it. He also spoke on Buckroe and the Circuit Court house.

Matthew Cherry spoke on property at Buckroe and its sales price.

Mayor Ward asked the City Manager to look into the possibilities of cost sharing with citizens in the dredging projects.
