Briefing Regarding an Ordinance Cable Franchise for Cavalier IP, TV, LLC and Proposed Amendments to Chapter 9.1 of the Hampton City Code, Pertaining to Cable Television.

Discussion of Third Party Research on Possible Changes to the Mission and Membership of the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Council Discussion of Desired Skill Set for Citizen Appointments to the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
Presented by Mayor Kearney who asked that the Councilmembers share their ideas with the City Manager.

Status Report on the Buckroe Fishing Pier.

Councilwoman Leary shared that she has been at the National League of Cities Conference in Washington, DC over the past few days and brought back information on emergency preparedness. She also attended a session on economic development and had a meeting with Congressman Scott and Congresswoman Drake.
The City Manager reminded the Council that later the Governor is expected to sign legislation creating the new Fort Monroe Federal Development Authority and Council will be asked to make appointments to the new body.
