ACTION: Presented by Mary Bunting, Assistant City Manager.
3.07-0622Resolution Appropriating $100,000 from the General Fund to Hampton Industrial Development Authority for the Virginia Phillpot Manufacturing Extension Partnership (VPMEP).
ACTION: Presented by Mike Yazkowsky, Business Development Manager. Mr. Yazkowsky introduced Matthew James, President, Peninsula Council for Workforce Development; John Calver, Director, Advanced Manufacturing Project, Thomas Nelson Community College;
and Aimee McCarthy, Sales Manager, Virginia's Philpott Manufacturing Extension Partnership. John Lowe, Owner, Lowe's Precision Machining, also briefly spoke.
Regional Issues
  Councilwoman Leary spoke about her experience on the Regional Jail Authority and asked for an update on the pooling of resources for the purchase of medical supplies.

Councilman Washington indicated that he will be attending the Hampton Roads Transit meeting tomorrow.
